There are several methods that you can use to recharge your Vodacom Airtime, and all of them are very simple. It won’t take much of your time if you follow the procedure correctly.

RECHARGE USING USSD CODES
One of the most common methods of topping up airtime is via USSD code on your Vodacom mobile line. This method is not limited to the Vodacom network; it also works on all other networks.
To recharge, you must first purchase an airtime voucher from any of the retail shops or vendors located throughout the country. These authorized resellers are almost everywhere, and you can buy any amount of airtime from them. The recharge voucher will include a series of numbers representing the amount of airtime you purchased.

After purchasing the recharge voucher, you can recharge your airtime by dialing *136*, followed by the voucher pin#, and then click send. If the transaction is successful, you will receive a confirmation message with your new account balance, which you can now use to purchase voice minutes, SMS, data, and other Vodacom services.

Vodacom Mobile App
Vodacom offers a mobile application for both iOS and Android. All you need to do is download it from the Google Play Store if you are an Android user or from the App Store if you are an iOS user, and then install it.
First, launch the app and register. Do not worry if you do not have an account; the registration process is simple.
Click top up on your dashboard or interface, then select airtime, the amount you want to top up, and the Vodacom number you want to top up. Proceed to payment and select your preferred method of payment.
After completing the transaction, you will receive an SMS on your mobile confirming the transaction with your newly opened account balance.
- Download the Vodacom app from the Google Play Store or App Store.
- Register your account using your Vodacom number
- Log in to your account and click top-up airtime
- Enter the amount you want to recharge
- Proceed to payment and choose your payment option
- You will receive an SMS confirming the transaction.
Vodacom website
Vodacom allows its users to recharge airtime through their website. You can also do the same by opening your browser on your mobile device or desktop, entering the Telkom website address: https://www.vodacom.co.za, and then logging in or registering if you don’t have a Telkom account. Don’t worry, the registration is easy and simple; it only requires your Telkom mobile number.
- Go to https://www.vodacom.co.za and log in to your account.
- Tap on “shop.”
- choose airtime from the available options
- Enter the Vodacom mobile number you wish to top up and tap “next.”.
- Select either “own amount” or “bundles.”
- proceed with payment.
- Enter your bank card details and tap “Pay.”
Bank Apps
You can also recharge your Vodacom airtime through mobile banking apps. Almost all, if not all, of them have mobile banking applications available; this should not be a problem, no matter which bank you are using. You can get these mobile banking applications on the Google Play Store or App Store, depending on which device you’re using. Once you’re done downloading and installing the app, open it and register, or log in if you already registered.

- Enter the amount you wish to top up with, then tap ”buy/proceed.”
You will immediately receive an SMS confirming the transaction and the new airtime balance.

Is it possible to recharge someone’s Vodacom account using my bank account?
Yes, you can use your bank, and it is not limited to Vodacom customers. You can buy it for anyone who uses a different network provider.
What does Insufficient Airtime Balance mean?
It simply means you do not have any airtime or data in your account.
What does an invalid voucher pin mean?
It means that the voucher pin you entered is incorrect, so double-check it and make sure you enter it correctly.
Due to network and technical issues, you may enter a voucher PIN, and it will say invalid voucher PIN. You should now request a balance and see if there is no top-up on your current balance.
If that is not the case, call the Vodacom customer service number, 082 135, and explain your situation; they should be able to assist you.
Can you convert airtime to data?
Yes, you can convert your airtime as soon as you recharge it or whenever you want. However, please keep in mind that you cannot convert your data to airtime.
